Visually impaired cricketers finish runners-up

Odisha finished runners-up for the second time when they lost to host Andhra Pradesh by seven wickets in the final of the 21st National Cricket Tournament of the Visually Impaired at Gymkhana ground in Hyderabad today.

Earlier, Odisha registered three wins in a row in Pool B to barge into the final. Led by Mohammad Jafar Iqbal, Odisha beat Maharashtra by 66 run, Uttar Pradesh by 28 runs and Karnataka by six runs.

RESULTS:
April 30: Odisha
174 in 20 overs (Lal Prasad Soren 72, Sukhram Majhi 59) beat Maharashtra 109/10 in 18.3 overs (Pankaj Bhue3 wkts) by 66 runs.

May 1: Odisha
171/4 in 20 overs (Pankaj Bhue 75) beat Uttar Pradesh 143/6 in 20 over (Rajiv Lochan Sahoo and Sukhram Majhi 2 wkts each) by 28 runs.

May 2: Odisha
201/6 in 20 overs (Sukhram Majhi 96) beat Karnataka 196/3 in 20 overs (Prakash Jayramaya 119) by 6 runs.

May 3 (Final): Odisha 145/6 in 20 overs lost to Andhra Pradesh 146/3 in 17 overs.
